Photo Restoration — Preserving the Past, One Photograph at a Time
Your Memories Deserve More Than an AI-Generated Guess.
Every old photograph tells a story. Whether it's a treasured family portrait, a photograph of someone no longer with us, or a precious moment captured decades ago, these images are irreplaceable pieces of your family's history.
Since 2002, I've specialized in professionally restoring damaged, faded, torn, and deteriorating photographs — one image at a time, with meticulous attention to detail.
When you entrust me with a photograph, you're not sending it through an automated restoration app or handing it off to an unknown technician. You're working directly with me, Beth, from start to finish. I'm the person who evaluates your photograph, performs the restoration, and answers your questions along the way.
I understand that your photographs are more than pieces of paper. They're connections to people, places, and moments you can never replace. That's why I treat every restoration with the patience, respect, and individual attention it deserves.
Why Choose Professional Restoration Instead of AI?
Artificial intelligence has made it easy to generate a seemingly restored photograph in seconds. But there's an important difference between creating an image that looks restored and carefully preserving the details of the original.
AI restoration apps can sometimes invent facial features, alter expressions, smooth away defining characteristics, or generate details that never existed in the original photograph.
I don't use AI to restore your photographs. Every image is personally restored by me using professional photo-editing techniques.
Rather than allowing software to guess what someone looked like, I carefully work with the actual photographic information available, repairing damage while preserving as much of the original image as possible.
My goal is to maintain the authentic appearance of the people, places, and moments captured in your photograph — not create a computer-generated interpretation of them.
My goal isn't to reinvent your memories. It's to restore them as faithfully as possible.
How Does Professional Photo Restoration Work?
The restoration process begins with a high-resolution digital scan of your original photograph, slide, negative, or contact sheet. This creates a detailed digital image that allows me to perform the restoration without physically altering your original.
Using professional photo-editing software, I carefully examine the image and identify areas affected by scratches, tears, stains, fading, discoloration, or missing details.
Whenever possible, I use undamaged portions of the original photograph as sources of replacement image information — sometimes referred to as donor areas. By carefully sampling and reconstructing damaged sections using authentic details from the photograph itself, I can repair imperfections while maintaining the image's natural appearance.
Each restoration is completed manually, with careful attention to facial features, textures, lighting, contrast, and the overall character of the original photograph.
The result is a newly restored, high-resolution digital photograph that can look remarkably close to how it appeared before years of damage and deterioration.
No automated AI reconstruction. No AI-generated faces. Just careful, experienced, hands-on restoration.
Can My Damaged Photograph Be Restored?
You might be surprised by how much damage can be repaired!
Over the years, I've worked with photographs suffering from a wide variety of problems, including:
• Fading, yellowing, and severe discoloration
• Scratches, cracks, creases, and tears
• Water stains, spots, and other surface damage
• Missing or damaged sections of photographs
• Poor contrast and uneven exposure
• Unwanted people or objects in otherwise treasured photographs
• Color correction and restoration of aging color photographs
• Black-and-white photographs that need careful tonal restoration
Some photographs need only minor corrections, while others require hours of detailed reconstruction.
Every photograph is different, and I need to see the damage before determining what can realistically be repaired. While a great deal of damage can often be corrected, some details may be permanently lost if there isn't enough original photographic information remaining.
I believe in being straightforward about what's possible. I'll evaluate your photograph and discuss the restoration options with you before you commit to the work.
What Happens to My Original Photograph?
Your original photograph is never replaced, discarded, or permanently altered during the digital restoration process.
Once your photograph, slide, negative, or contact sheet has been scanned at high resolution, the restoration work is performed on the digital image.
Your original is returned to you, along with your newly restored digital file and any photographic prints you may have ordered.
Your restored digital photograph can be used again and again to create beautiful prints, framed portraits, family albums, personalized gifts, and keepsakes for future generations.
One restoration can provide countless opportunities to preserve and share a treasured memory.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is your service different from an AI photo restoration app?
A real person — me, Beth — works on every photograph. I don't use AI to invent missing details or recreate faces. Instead, I use my experience and professional editing techniques to restore the original photographic information as faithfully as possible.
Can you repair my particular photograph?
Possibly! A great deal of damage can often be repaired, even when a photograph looks severely deteriorated. However, I need to see the image and assess the damage before I can determine what is realistically possible.
Will I get my original photograph back?
Absolutely. Your original photograph, slide, negative, or contact sheet is returned to you, along with your restored digital file and any prints you've ordered.
How much does photo restoration cost?
Because every photograph is different, pricing depends on the type and extent of the damage, as well as the time required to complete the restoration. I provide personalized quotes after reviewing the photograph.
How do I get started?
It's simple! Just send me an email or text with a quick snapshot of your damaged photograph. You don't need a professional scan to request an initial evaluation — a clear picture taken with your phone is a great place to start.
I'll review the damage, discuss what may be possible, and provide information about pricing and the next steps.
Don't Let Time Take Away What's Left of Your Memories
Photographs can continue to fade, discolor, and deteriorate over time. The sooner they're professionally digitized and restored, the better the opportunity to preserve the details that remain.
Whether you have a single treasured portrait or an entire collection of family photographs, I'd love to help bring your memories back to life.

"Beth's work is impeccable. She has brought life to photos which were very special to me personally and for my love of collecting and projects on Jayne Mansfield. I've challenged every one of her skills from dubbing international video to USA, format to format, super 8 mm films, film negative from every country in the world most of them 40 and fifty years old. Her work has brought love, feeling and joy to many people that have seen photos and film work that never would have been seen without her skills."
